New Collaborative Efforts
Camp Get-A-Well-A, Hole in the Wall Camps and The Association of Hole in the Wall Camps have joined a collaborative effort to bring camp to even more children's hospitals!
In 2007, Camp Get-A-Well-A was sought out by The Association of Hole in the Wall Camps to assist them in the testing and launch phases of their Hospital Outreach Program.
As part of this collaborative effort, Camp Get-A-Well-A wrote a manual for camp hospital outreach that is used in the introduction, training and implementation of the Hole in the Wall Camps at a designated Camp Get-A-Well-A camp.
Hole in the Wall Camps are the worlds largest family of camps for children with serious illnesses and life threatening conditions. Children with cancer, sickle cell anemia, HIV/AIDS, and many other conditions come to Camp to experience the simple joys of childhood, without compromising any of their medical needs thanks to our high-quality medical care.
This unique partnership of idea sharing and collaboration for seriously ill kids in children's hospitals ensures even more kids can enjoy the memorable childhood experience known as camp!
